Kathryn Kolb Photographs
Kathryn Kolb Photographs is the first major publication of the work of photographer Kathryn Kolb, featuring over 60 of her finest color and black & white images taken from the mid 1990's to 2008, and includes many of the images featured on this website. All of Kolb's photographs are of natural landscapes and landscape details taken with a Hasselblad 2 1/4 square format camera. All images are captured on film, all are full-frame images, and Kolb uses no filters or digital manipulations--final images are reproduced just as seen in the viewfinder.
Image locations range from remote wilderness areas, mostly from the southeastern US, to Kolb's own backyard and neighborhood in Atlanta, GA.
Kathryn Kolb Photographs includes introductory essays by internationally celebrated nature photographer Robert Glenn Ketchum, by Jerry Cullum, art critic and Senior Editor of Art Papers magazine, and statements by the artist herself.
